Our Purpose

Our purpose is to empower underprivileged youth with dignity, purpose, and opportunities, by breaking down structural barriers and providing them with supportive educational and community-based resources.

Cell Phone Campaign

The Cell Phone Campaign is a meaningful initiative designed to raise money for education, school supplies, and other essentials for learning! We have proudly partnered with the Buehler YMCA and Kumon of Rolling Meadows to transform this idea into more than just a fundraising effort, we are turning it into a movement for education and generational change.

Through this campaign, The Dignity Shift collect old and unused cell phone from community members. Instead of letting these devices become dirty, not working and eventually ending up in landfills, we sell them to companies that can recycle or refurbish them. The funds we raise from these sales go directly toward educational funding, providing students the tools, materials, and opportunities to succeed!

The researched that we have found dhows nearly 40% of cell phones are sitting forgotten in drawers, untouched, unused, and wasting their potential. Imagine the impact if even a fraction of those devices could be repurposed for a better cause! By donating your old phone, you are not just clearing out old clutter laying around, you are helping bridge educational gaps.

If you would like to take action reach out to us via email (riaarun@thedignityshift.org) with your information! Remember you're not clearing out clutter, your changing educational gaps for our next generation!
